Taylor Swift “Bad Blood feat. Kendrick Lamar” Marketing Campaign

I was brought on to develop the logo and design for the social media marketing campaign for the world premiere of Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood feat. Kendrick Lamar” video. Working in extreme secrecy under the most terrifying NDA I’ve ever signed, I created the logo and system that would go on to become an instagram phenominon for short time with Swifties creating their own characters and posting them to social media.

The video went on to break the Vivo world record for number of views in 24 hours.

The inspiration for the logo came from a variety of sources including comic books such as “Sin City” as well as older punk fan zines and logos such as The Buzzcocks. Working extremely quickly I was able to create the final version based of Taylor’s vision for the project.

Recognition

The success of the campaign was recognized among several news outlets for its effectiveness.
